Local Home Care

Local support that helps life at home continue

Home care can be helpful when everyday tasks have become more difficult, when someone needs reassurance or company, or when a family needs reliable support around an existing routine. It can be arranged for a short period, introduced gradually, or provided on an ongoing basis as needs change.

Serenity Care Solent is an independent, family-led provider established in 2019, coordinating care from our Lee-on-the-Solent head office, our Fareham branch and our office at Royal Haslar Waterfront Village.

Tell us what is becoming difficult, what matters to you and what a good day looks like — our team can explain the relevant options without pressuring you to make an immediate decision.

Getting Started

How Care Begins With Serenity

1

A Conversation With Our Team

We ask where care is needed, the support being considered, preferred times, and whether there are any immediate risks or deadlines.

2

A Free Home Assessment

If we may be able to help, a Care Manager arranges a free, no-obligation assessment — normally in the person’s home.

3

A Written Care Plan

We confirm the visits, tasks, price and start arrangements, matching carers by assessed needs, skills, availability and compatibility.

4

Ongoing Review

The care plan is reviewed when needs change and at planned intervals, with updates shared through your agreed communication route.

Ways Care May Be Funded

Serenity cannot decide eligibility, but we can signpost families to Hampshire County Council, NHS information and independent guidance.

Regulated Care With Honest Boundaries

Serenity Care Solent is regulated by the Care Quality Commission and is rated Good. Our carers are recruited with the required checks, including DBS checks, and complete training appropriate to their roles. Care is monitored by our local management team, and concerns can be raised directly with us.

What Home Care Doesn’t Replace

Our home care is not a replacement for a GP, community nurse, pharmacist, therapist or emergency service. We will explain if a request needs clinical assessment, specialist equipment or support beyond our role.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

We support adults aged 18 and over whose assessed needs can be met safely by our service. This may include older people, adults living with dementia or another health condition, people recovering after hospital treatment, and family carers who need planned respite.

Yes. We review care when circumstances change and can discuss increasing, reducing or altering support. Changes depend on reassessment, safe delivery and staff availability.

We will ask about preferred times and explain what we can reliably provide. Exact availability varies by area and care need, so agreed time windows are confirmed before the service starts.

We will say so honestly. Where appropriate, we may suggest speaking with a GP, NHS 111, Hampshire County Council, a community clinical team or another suitably qualified provider.
