Our Story

Your Local Home Care Company

Care is a family affair and has passed down through the generations.

Beverley’s Nan Joy, Uncle Ron and Auntie Cath owned a Care Home in Launceston, Cornwall for many years. As a child Beverley spent many a summer holidays helping her Nan and family at the care home.

Being inspired by Joy, Ron and Cath and the Care Home they owned, Beverley started her career in Care firstly in a nursing home in Alverstoke working weekends, while studying Health and Social Care at college and achieved an NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Health and Social Care.

After completing her time at college Beverley went into Care as a full-time Carer, working in a nursing home in Hillhead. Building on the skills learned in previous roles and college she spent 3 years in the position.

Eventually Beverley moved onto working in Care in the community with Hampshire County Council until stepping into a new challenge for a private customer with physical disabilities requiring 24 hour Care, while progressing onto assistant managerial duties within the position.

Continually looking to improve on the skills and experience learned over the previous years, Beverley took up the challenge of Care management and stepped into the demanding role of a Care Coordinator with a national Home Care company. Having mastered the role she quickly progressed onto the position of Registered Care Manager of a very busy branch providing full support to the office team Care staff and customers, with hours of Care being delivered weekly exceeding 1000 hours.

Beverley continued providing consistently high-quality Care to her customers taking the time to ensure both staff and customers were looked after with Care and compassion, while working towards and achieving a QCF Level 5 in Care Management.

Beverley’s achievements were recognised, and she was awarded on two occasions the regional branch of the year award.

Bringing us to 2019, Beverley took the biggest step of her working career and opened Serenity Care Solent, bringing with her 25 years of experience within the Care Sector, with the aim to provide Home Care to the highest standard to people in their own homes.

Beverley Mander is proud to be fulfilling her passion with her own company and providing quality care in your own home.
